Ink wash is one of the great mediums for visual artists. Water's ability to bring its spirit to bear in the work is a perfect fit for the collaborative art of haiku illustration. This set of three grass drawings was done as a study when I was a student, long ago now.

I created large numbers of energy drawings and paintings as part of the exploration. The works are done in mixed media sets of about 20 in a session.

Flatbed scans were a part of the experience of the walking meditation. I would collect leaves and feathers and shells and arrange them on a digital scanner as a document of the work. It soon became a favorite part of the process that I enjoyed throughout the duration of the 10 years.
