contemporary haiku poetry

rain

Rain has been a constant muse throughout the work. I found myself getting drawn into it more with the passing years. There were many kinds of rain from fog and drizzle to freezing mist, –– I even found myself in a hurricane and a 100-year flood during the 10 year project. When rain arrived, I could always count on having the woods and mountains to myself to hear their voices renewed by the touch of water.

An overview of my haiku based poetry and related art spanning ten years. I have been working with formats beyond the printed page as means to engage a wider audience with poetry. As well as the traditional haiku scrolls, this body of work includes ceramics, photography, graphic design, works on paper, assemblage, and installations with video as well.

Other poetic forms are viewable on the Poetry Playlist on the same channel.
